Nice to Meet You

I have had quite the spike in followers recently so I thought I would have a quick get to (re)know me session in the form of random facts!
  • Obviously I'm Rachel
  • My name was supposed to be Alexandra but my dad changed his mind last minute
  • I can never tell if its is minuet or minute (referring to time)
  • I am a bit of a hoarder with books and nail polishes
    • I have read over 1,000 books
    • I own over 300 paper books (mostly Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb) and about 200 e-books
    • I own over 200 nail polishes
  • Everyone in my family learns to ski at 3, but I was at 4 because I refused to learn and kept sitting down in the middle of the kiddie slope
  • I hate coffee and tea with Chai Lattes and Mint tea being the only exceptions
  • My high school was 21,000 kids big. My college is 14,000 on a good day
  • I used to have hair down to my waist now it is at my ears
  • I have been to Israel, Paris/Versailles, Amsterdam, Curaco, several of the Bahamas, Bermuda, and Canada  but I have only been to 13 states
  • I have quit more sports then most people will ever play: ballet (jazz, tap, classical), soccer, volleyball, basketball, tennis, ice skating, gymnastics, yoga, and horseback riding (though that was just because it is damn expensive)
  • When I was a freshman in high school and in a desktop publishing class, I asked my teacher what profession got to do that... I have wanted to be a graphic designer ever since
  • I have anxiety and mild OCD
  • Sometimes I am an extreme extrovert and need to be around people, but sometimes I just want to be locked alone in my room for a week with no human contact
  • I have an odd obsession with the Kennedys and the Royal family - especially around QV's era
  • Despite looking like a good girl, I have 2 tattoos and 9 piercings, and swear like a sailor
  • My car is named Izzy. The car before was Adam. My phone is Janice. My AC unit is Jasmine. I like to name inanimate objects
  • I cannot snap but I can whistle, roll my tongue, and wink
  • When I get bored I wikipedia serial killers and other crime stories. I often wonder if this makes me deranged as well
  • The vinyl on my steering wheel is peeling. I am convinced it is because I sing in my car
  • I like to talk in funny accents and make funny faces

That's me! Tell me something about you!

I love posts lie this :). And I had no idea you were a NR/JDR fan! I stayed up well past my bedtime reading Tuesdays release (but so worth it!).

Your high school had 21,000 students?! Mine had a little over 1,000. And my college was under 7,000. Holy moly.

I have traveled more out of the country than in the country. My goal for next two years is to travel in the US only. But damn if those Groupons for Costa Rica are not tempting!

Haha - I also like to name inanimate objects! My car is Carlos, and my hubby named our plant Fern (even though it isn't a fern, haha).

What a great list! I am most intrigued by the skiing thing. Why 3? We are very alike. I love looking up serial killers. I am worried that one day if the government takes my computer they are going to think bad things! I have an obsession with the Kennedys too. I even read 11/22/63! (A good book, you should read it!) And of course you know I am a designer.
